Responsible Tourism
CIFA has developed and implemented responsible tourism training programs and actively contributes to sustainable development in rural regions . Since it’s establishment by TLB Destinations, CIFA has collaborated with this incoming tour operator to contribute positively towards the country’s sustainable development.
Our philosophy is « We can make a difference » - we are committed to our training programs to raise awareness for key players in tourism in the field : the tour leaders. CIFA has trained tour leaders to become responsible towards their local community.
CIFA aims to
- Introduce responsible tourism philosophy to small and medium family owned enterprises
- Train small to medium ventures in hospitality services
- Set and promote heritage trails in rural areas
- Establish projects to restore antiquities (mills, farms etc.)
- Create recreational facilities aiming to integrate local culture
- Develop corresponding tourism segments (agriculture, handicrafts etc.)
Our programs are developed to benefit them as far as possible : whether with a home stay at a rural family home or by supporting a local women’s cooperative to purchase their products.
